Birthday Party Checklist

About One Month Before the Birthday Party

• Pick a theme
• Order your party supplies and invitations based on your theme.  
• Who is invited?  Make a guest list
• Get out your calendar and pick a date
• Find the best time: pick a party start and end time

About 2 or 3 Weeks Before the Birthday Party

• Get out your guest list, address and mail your invitations
• Get a cake recipe or order your cake
• Plan your menu, games and for assistance to help such as parents of guests or other family members
• Order helium balloons

The Party is Getting Close! - One Week Before the Party

• Verify all RSVP's and call those that have not responded
• Verify your balloon and cake order
• Write down a party day schedule as to the order of events including cake, games and decide if you will open presents at the party or after the party when everyone leaves.

Its almost here!!! - 2 or 3 days prior to the Party

• Get film and power up the camera and the camcorder
• Go grocery shopping for your party snacks and drinks as well as extra paper towels, streamers and birthday candles

The Birthday Party is Tomorrow!!!!!! - The Day Before

• Bake your cake or pick up your ordered cake
• Set up the party area and decorate
• Prepare any snacks or food that can be prepared the day before.
• Verify your helpers

Woo Hoo - The Party is Today!

• Have an assistant pick up the balloons and finish decorating
• Put candles on your cake
• Prepare last minute foods and put your chips, etc, in serving bowls
• Welcome your guests and enjoy your birthday party
